Fix for YVM3305

A YouView on Sony FAQ

TV channels unavailable

There are no channels tuned at the moment, here are some steps to help you resolve:

Pop your details into the Availability Checker (Freeview). Is your channel listed?

 YES
Continue on to step 2.

NO

This channel may not be available in your area. Please contact Freeview for further advice.

In order to receive channels you will need to have an aerial plugged in. Make sure this is securely inserted into your TV and at the wall socket.

If you are using a wired connection, make sure these cables are securely connected to your TV and your router.

Sometimes the issue is out of your control, you could be affected by atmospheric conditions such as high pressure.

Please see our article: How to improve your signal for further help

  1. Navigate to Settings via the remote or Android Home Screen
  2. Select Watching TV
  3. Channels
  4. And Channel Setup

Choose Digital Auto Tuning, and then give it a couple of minutes to retune and check to see if your signal is back to normal.

Every so often maintenance works are carried out to keep your transmitter in top condition. This might weaken your signal or interrupt your service.

Check the Freeview website to see if your transmitter is affected.

Don’t know what transmitter you’re using? Pop your postcode into the Freeview home checker to find out.

If your area has multiple transmitters available, you can find out if there's any transmitter faults and see the signal strength of the alternative transmitters on the BBC Reception Check website.
