Start Again for BBC Programmes
Missed the start of a live BBC programme? Don't worry, if more than 2 minutes of the programme has past, we'll offer you the option 'Start again' (where available).
When you are watching a BBC channel, press OK to bring the playback bar up, then press and hold OK to start again in BBC iPlayer.
We'll show you a countdown in the playback bar so you know how long to hold OK for.
You can watch as far as back as up to 2 hours from the time you start again.
Save time with Recent Searches
Search can be a quick way to find what you want to watch. We've now made it even quicker to find these programmes by introducing your Recent Searches underneath the search bar.
The next time you play a programme from search, we'll add it to your recent searches, ready for you to click and play next time.
Quicker Playback Bar timeout for recordings
The next time you play a recording you'll notice we've made the 'playback bar' timeout quicker, so it doesn't get in the way of your full screen experience.
Clearer to see programme tiles
We've made it easier to see programme tiles by adding some space between them.
Bug fixes
We have fixed a number of bugs in this release including:
- An issue with the recordings where the box would not perform a scheduled recording whilst in standby or when tuned to a different MUX resulting in a failed recording.
- Occasional audio loss in a few areas including one which occurred when changing from BBC SD to BBC HD.
- An issue with the Live Pause feature where skipping forward after a pause would take you back to live TV and rewinding would be capped at x2 speed.
